Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Earnly LLC (“Earnly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Earnly Family iOS app, the Earnly Hub display experience, and our websites (including earnlyus.com and related Hub setup domains).

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Earnly, we may collect:

  • Account & profile data — name, email, phone number, profile photo, household/family membership, and parent/child role.
  • Family activity data — chores, allowances, spending entries, savings goals, school rewards, balances (including simulated educational balances), requests, and related history.
  • Device & usage data — app version, device type, diagnostics, crash logs, and approximate interaction analytics needed to operate and improve the service.
  • Purchase data — App Store subscription status (e.g., Earnly Live), Hub hardware checkout details processed by Stripe, and order confirmations.
  • Location data — with your permission, as described in Section 2.

2. Location & Family Safety Features

Earnly’s Safety experience may use device location so parents and guardians can see where family members are on a family map and stay connected. Location is optional and controlled by iOS permission prompts and your device settings.

  • If you grant location access, we may collect latitude/longitude and a last-seen timestamp from the device and associate it with the signed-in family profile.
  • We use this data to power family map / Safety features for members of your household who are authorized to view them (for example, parents viewing linked children or other household members who share location).
  • Location is not sold. We do not use family location for third-party advertising.
  • You can revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings → Earnly → Location. If permission is off, map/Safety features that depend on live location may not work.
  • Accuracy depends on GPS, network, and device conditions. Earnly is not an emergency response service and should not replace calling emergency services.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide and operate family accounts, chores, balances, goals, and rewards.
  • Enable Safety / family map features when location is permitted.
  • Pair and sync the Earnly Hub with your family account.
  • Process Hub purchases and subscription entitlements.
  • Send transactional notices (pairing, receipts, support replies).
  • Secure the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Improve product experience and develop new features.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

  • Family members you invite — parents/guardians and linked children see data appropriate to their role (for example, chore status, balances, or shared location on the family map).
  • Service providers — infrastructure and tools that help us run Earnly (such as hosting, authentication/database providers, analytics, crash reporting, map providers, payment processors like Stripe for Hub checkout, and Apple for App Store billing).
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect Earnly, users, or others.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Earnly is built for families. Child accounts are created and managed under a parent or legal guardian. We require parental involvement for users under 13 and design controls so parents can manage child profiles, balances, chores, rewards, and Safety settings. Parents may request access, correction, or deletion of a child’s information by contacting us (see Contact).

6. Simulated Balances & Educational Features

Certain Earnly money features may use simulated or educational balances for allowance tracking and learning. Those balances are product data associated with your family account. They may not represent real bank deposits unless we clearly state otherwise and you complete any required banking onboarding with a licensed partner.

7. Earnly Hub

When you pair an Earnly Hub, the display retrieves family dashboard information (such as chores, kids, and balances) needed to show your household board. Hub setup and authentication follow the pairing flow in the Earnly app. Purchase and shipping details for Hub hardware are handled through our checkout provider.

8. Data Retention & Security

We retain information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Your Choices & Rights

  • Update profile and family settings in the app.
  • Turn location off in iOS Settings.
  • Cancel subscriptions through Apple Account / App Store settings.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@earnly.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights available to you.

10. Third-Party Services & Links

Earnly may integrate with third-party platforms (for example, Apple, map providers, or payment processors). Their privacy practices govern their services. Please review their policies as well.

11. International Users

Earnly is operated from the United States. If you access the service from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S. or other locations where we or our providers operate.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app or by email when appropriate.
